Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Multimedia Communication

The Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Multimedia Communication at the Ateneo de Manila University seeks to develop competent, creative, ethical and globally competitive communication practitioners in an age of media convergence.

Through its multimedia facilities and programs, the Center provides the following opportunities:

-
For students to acquire multidisciplinary skills of multimedia communication, to experience the production processes and workflows of a convergent media environment, and to learn from the actual practices of media professionals in the field.

-
For communication educators to be exposed to the issues and possibilities, processes and workflows, of multimedia communication for the purposes of media education and training.

-
For communication professionals to acquaint themselves with the creative possibilities, competencies, professionalism and ethics required by 21st century multimedia technologies and practices.

Established in 2012, the Center is borne out of the partnership between the Department of Communication of the Ateneo de Manila University and the ABS-CBN Corporation. In its education and formation of men and women skilled in multimedia practice and guided by Ignatian ideals of excellence and service, it embodies the legacy and life work of ABS-CBN founder, Eugenio Lopez Jr.
